i used 2 use mIRC under Win ME which ran fine. I went off it 4 a while and now am usin it again under XP but it seams 2 take ages 2 log onto the irc server, ne1 wiv ne ideas y ?

It could just be the specific server/network you're connecting too.. some are very packed and just take awhile to connect to, or it could be your machine that may have a slow connection?

im having problems connecting to irc period. used to work fine, but then it stopped working all of a sudden and i didnt change any settings. no servers work.

IRC servers are unreliable sometimes. Try to use different servers.

I was using mirc to connect to gamesnet for a good year or so, but all of a sudden it stopped connecting... I switched over to Pirch98 and my problems were solved
