IRC seems to be the best option for file sharing. What do I need and where should I go to get started? Thanks.

irc is great, but you need people to show you how to do it. I guess you oculd look for internet tutorials on it. I'd help you, but i have not used IRC for file sharing ages (what, 6 years ago?).

I don't file share anymore🙂 The last thing i used was bitorrent. If i want something, I tell my friends who live in college dorms to get it for me. Direct Connect + thousands of students = the best file sharing there is.

Not sure if you know this....but they have the internet ON computers now. 🙂

1. Download IRC connection software like mIRC.
2. Know what server and room you want to connect to. For instance, a number of AT people hang out on the Undernet network, channel #neochat (you can connect using the first link in my sig).
3. ???
4. Profit.
