Well, due to #teamanandtech being the #1 channel on WorldIRC, we've been attracting more than our fair share of "lamers", who walk in to the room because we're the biggest. Rather than putting a bot or bunch of OPs in to patrol, it's been decided that we're going to move the room to our own IRC server.🙂 From now on, we'll be using irc.teamanandtech.com to link to our IRC server, starting now.
The room is still #teamanandtech, and there are only a few changes you need to know about. The NS is now NickServe, and uses the command "identify" to auth yourself. Use "help" to get the usage and other commands. As for X, he'll be staying; though it'll be a different bot software. Since most people don't use X(other than for info lines, which we're working on), you shouldn't notice a difference, as the only major command used, seen, is now run by "seen (user)", instead of "!seen (user)". However, all OPs need to PM me to get instructions on the new command structure.
Other than that, nothing's really changed. Hopefully, this will keep "lamers" to a non-existant level, while adding new features that we could never get with WorldIRC.🙂 See ya there.😀
