i looked around the TA website and was unable to find ANY info pertaining to the irc server and its info... so could some one enlighten me?? as you may have already guessed im a rc5 newbie and just wanna say hey and ask my question!! so ill c all you around!

Absolutely, the IRC channel is #teamanandtech on irc.teamanandtech.com and you can find more info, as well as a browser-based Java chat client, right here. The java client is at the bottom of that page. 🙂 Welcome to the Team! 🙂
