Speaking of Impala SS's, Legendary Motor Car just sold a 1996 SS, with 74 kilometers on it, not 7400 or 74000, 74.
Still had the plastic on the seats....I'm not sure why anyone would have held on to one like that...sold the same day it was listed for $30,000 CDN.

Yeah, they didn't even turn a profit on it, even BEFORE inflation.
It's not that the cars were particularily rare, they just became overhyped.

At least she's going to jail, and he didn't end up making a HUGE mistake.

I'll be honest, I looked at it, but all the b-bodies are just SO dated inside. It's not a car from 1996, its a car from 1986. Seriously my dads mint 1987 300ZX is far more modern inside than these cars are.

Oh, and I don't want to pass judgement on anyone, but looking at the pictures, and catching a glimpse of his house, garage, and also neighborhood...and then the pair of souped up cars he has as well as his financee's Escalade makes me really wonder where people's priorities are.

This post drug me out of retirement to say a little some some. For those of you that REALLY know me... you know I got a little experience in these situations. Sh!t... lord knows how close I have come to this picture... a few times... [cwm2] With all that being said... I am living proof you will get through all this ALOT stronger.

I would agree with you 100% on cars and material things... that sh!t can be fixed, replaced, etc. but lives can't. Thank god she didn't drive the truck through your bedroom wall... [Eek!] . That chrome, battering ram, whoopty whoop looked like she could have driven around your crib smashing walls looking for your ass too. Make a note to reinforce those outer walls before she gets released on bail... [cwm4] [Wink]

something similar happened to this guy I used to know.

He drove a 1970 Monte Carlo. It was a very nice car. Unfortunately, he was an arrogant bastard. A bunch of us used to hang out and yap about our cars. He would come over and tell everyone why their car was a POS compared to his. He thought his 350 2 bbl Monte was a real race car.

Anyway, he apparently started dating this chick. He brought her by one night and she ragged on everyone's car, even mine. She was a real bitch. After pissing everyone off, I said to them, "you two deserve each other". He went and decided to rebuild his engine and mod it for serious power. He even put a gear drive unit in it. What a tool.

His woman got mad at him for spending time and money on his car. They had a huge fight and she went blew the engine up in his car. It would even turn over. She dumped him and started dating my friend Simon.

Crazy times.
