AURORA, Colo. -- A customer who didn't get his Call of Duty video game became so irate he threatened to shoot employees and blow up a Best Buy store in Aurora, police said Tuesday.

Aurora police were called just after midnight to the Best Buy near Interstate 70 and Tower Road, where a store manager said a customer had threatened employees.

The manager said the customer was angry that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game he said he had pre-ordered earlier in the day was not in stock. The store started selling the highly sought after new game at midnight.

The customer also asked the employees when they were leaving work because he said he intended to shoot them in the parking lot, police said. He also mentioned blowing up the store, according to police.

Alright.. which one of you freaks did this?

I know this Best Buy... I70 & Tower is not a 'bad' neighborhood... in fact... it's pretty nice. Alot of new construction

Is no one else outraged that they dare accept a preorder so soon before release and not even reserve a copy? There's a reason it used to be called "reserving" a game.

If you are actually "outraged" about this, you should probably adjust your priorities.

the only reason to preorder games now a days is to get the freebies. ever since games turned to optical media there has been 0 point to preorder a game with concerns to not enough copies being available. you can walk into any store on release day and purchase the game.

another reason to preorder is if you want the special editions that actually do have limited ones.

Apparently you don't know the Denver area very well. Aurora is like the shithole of Denver and always has been. Just because there is a lot of new development out that way doesn't mean its not still Denver's Asshole.

There is new development everywhere in Denver.

Doesn't surprise me. Console users typically seem more anti-social and angry than PC gamers.

It costs $149 -249 for a console, where that same amount of money would barely get you a processor for a PC gaming rig. This means more PC gamers will usually carry a job, or find a way to make money and be more social because they need to be.

Console losers typically buy the console and play all day while screaming at their TV screens. Only time they go out for sunlight is when they have to go pick up preorders at Best Buy.

I honestly don't consider that side of I70 as part of Aurora. Green Valley Ranch has been built up quite nicely. That shopping center over there is really nice. And the area around the Arsenel is quite nice too.

As you get further north, Reunion is really nice up there. I used to live up on Tower & 104th.

Yes... South of I70.. Colfax, 6th, Alameda, that's all a shithole. No arguments here.

If all the lazy bums who sit around playing video games did something productive regardless of age the world would be a much better place.

All video games should be taxed like cigarettes and alcohol. Instead of a "sin tax" they would be known as "sloth taxes" and would also be mandated on resale.
