I liked the grin on his face. Did that really just happen? Honestly, who throws a shoe?

shoe throwing/hitting people with the sole of your shoe is considered a serious insult in the middle east...plus it's probably the closest thing to a "weapon" the guy had

Clearly you haven't seen Austin Powers. And yes, I know all about Middle Eastern traditions. Pointing the bottom of your feet at someone is like flicking them off, but worse.

I've blocked that terrible movie from my memory as much as possible.

he's just trying to get his foot in the door to speak with Bush.

4/10 at best

you give me way too much credit, I'm aiming for a 1/10 or lower.

He'll never be the foot of a major corporation.

Wow Bush got some reflexes at that age!
No kidding...his ability to duck not one but two shoes was impressive. Its like he's been preparing for that sorta attack for a while now....

He's been getting prepared, training 3 hours per day, in anticipation of all the pie-in-the-face attacks he will endure when he starts doing his "crotchety ol' US president bit" as he travels around the world raising money for malaria and shit.

You think Carter got griefed? Wait until this toolshed gets out there.

Baller!
He's just chillin, smiling and telling people not to worry...

This is the funniest thing I've seen in a good long while.

Bush. Does. Not. Give. A. Fuck.

I especially liked how he said, "it's just like what happens when you go to a political rally and get yelled at.."

He can't even conceive of participating in a political rally, only being the target of one.

His cobbled-together plan solely to hit the president failed, as he was clogged by the press.

Told you there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

For those of you wondering what the reporter said as he threw his shoes;

"This is a gift from the Iraqis. This is the farewell kiss, you dog,
this is from the widows, the orphans and those who were killed in Iraq."

First of all, if you click on the link provided by the OP, then select the video tab at the top, there is a video. Agreed, it took good GWB reflexes to dodge as the shoe thrower got off two really fast throws, but GWB was really in no danger, the shoes went too high and off to the left. I predict no baseball career for the Iraqi journalist, he has serious control issues and needs more practice to hit the strike zone.

The solution is clearly GWB nude journalistic news conferences in future, some people just won't accept a dubious heart felt GWB I am sorry, and after seeing hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed, 2 million exiled,
and other tortured, somehow I can't blame those soreheads giving GWB a tiny tiny fraction of what he deserves.

Yeah... but at least they should show some gratitude for all the misery inflicted on them.

Yes, their is. That's him playing the part of an Iraqi shoe target.

I'll say this as plainly as possible. George W. Bush is a traitor. As of today, George W. Bush has murdered 4,209 American troops in his war of LIES in Iraq. George W. Bush has committed treason by shredding the rights guaranteed to every American citizen under the U.S. Constitution. George W. Bush has authorized, and therefore committed. acts of torture and other heinous war crimes and crimes against humanity.

These charges are not hyperoble. They are fact. I have often posted strong legal citations to support them.

These charges are independent of anything anyone wants to claim was done by Bill Clinton or any other past President. If someone can present conclusive evidence of such crimes, I would support prosecuting them to the full extent of the law.

Now, let's see if those who continue to deny Bush's crimes or try to distract from them by pointing to others join me in supporting prosecution of ANY and ALL Presidents, past and present, who have committed such heinous crimes.

Bring your own hard evidence against those you want to see charged. Speculation and maybe's don't count.

Actually for once you say something true, there wasn't until your hero came along in 2001
