Iraq, You have a week!

US/UK propose that the UN give Iraq one week to comply with inspections.

The United States and Britain are proposing that the United Nations ( news - web sites) set a seven-day deadline for Iraqi President Saddam Hussein ( news - web sites) to agree to disarm and open his palaces for searches of hidden weapons, a Bush administration official and U.N. diplomats said Friday. President Bush ( news - web sites) backed a U.N. effort, saying, "I'm willing to give peace a chance."

Looks like the UN has once again chosen not to lead.

In the event it does get passed, i doubt iraq will comply.
