Kind of late at this point to bring up things like this. Sadam actively polluted his own land by burning oil in pits and trenches, and even tried to shoot his own troops when they deserted. Now you want to claim he is this nice gentleman that just wanted to give up.

Not at all, I'm just pointing out that the claim of inevitability is pure BS.

As for polluting his own land, that's exactly what America does every time it decalres that long-term environmental concerns will not trump short term business gains.

I'm still waiting for an explanation of how, exactly, Iraq invaded America.
