"Iraq war little problem for Al Qaeda, experts say"

"We are safer and the world is safer with Saddam behind bars."

How can you have forgotten that, Engineer? Time for an increase in your dosage.

iraq has been a big recruiting boon for al qaeda. US govt made bin laden rich, supported him, and now is doing his dirty work (remove saddam for him and increase his stature and staff)

Pssst. Don't you know that ATP&N is really run covertly by the CIA, they are using it to track you and other dissidents and then passing that info directly to Osama?

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Actually bin Laden made the vast majority of his money in Saudi Arabia, in construction IIRC.

Fear is for Bushies.

Are these the same experts who said we should expect 50,000 casualties and could lose the ground war against Iraqs military?

If Bush was so inept at fighting this war then why did so many terrorist organizations(including OBL himself) support John Kerry? I would think they want a man in there who is inept so they can continue to do as they please.

As for the recruiting. I really dont think anybody is in any kind of position to say whether or not Al-Queda has had a recruiting boom from this. While possible they have enlisted the help of disgruntled Baath party members. I think the fight for the Baath members is concentrated in Iraq.

I look at it as we had 4 major attacks on US targets during the 90s from Al-Queda. WTC,Khobe Towers, African Embassy, and the USS Cole. That is once every 2 years during the 1990s. And the big one was being setup and implemented starting in 1997.

We have had 1 major attack on US soil and US interests outside of the warzone since 2001. Bush has to be doing something right in order for him to lengthen the avg time of attack from 2 to 3 or more years.

If that was true, you sure wouldn't know it by reading this forum. The fearmongering and revisionist FUD forwarded by the RBH'rs in here goes beyond the pale.
