What exactly are these people protesting? First off the war part of whats going on in Iraq is over. For which there was never a formal declaration.
Since there was no formal declaration, how do you determine when its over? Saddam should have signed surrender papers.
Are they protesting the troops being in Iraq? Well, where is the protest for the troops in Kosovo that were only supposed to be there for 1 year (or so). How about the troops that are in Japan and Germany? Are we still an "occupying" force?

Just a guess, but I suspect they are protesting the continued presense of troops combined with the troops being killed over there. How many troops did Japanese insurgents kill last year?

There was a war declaration, the end of the war was declared by the "winner", remember Bush on that hangarship in his usual setup "don't let people see what things are really like" way?
How would older wars have ended where they caught and executed the leader of the other nation?

Our troops are over there fighting for our rights
Oh. my. god. Where are they getting this from?! How is anyone protecting my rights in some foreign country thousands upon thousands of miles away? If you want to fight for my rights, then please fight against the Patriot Act or something like that, not some adventure that doesn't even matter to me.

That is because many real Americans are in uniform really doing something about terrorism instead of sitting on their butts waiting for the next big protest/social event/chance to get laid! Do you jerks still smoke weed at those anti-war rallies? Besides, it would be against the law to whale the crap out of a bunch of protestors.

Amen! We need to try Sheehan for treason and make an example out of her for aiding the enemy.
Hmm...just how was Iraq planning on taking away any of my freedoms and rights?Originally posted by: Condor
If they weren't thousands of miles away fighting for your undeserved rights, they would be fighting for them here. That is the part you will never get if you don't see the bomb on your block.Originally posted by: RabidMongoose

Yeah I'm sure they mean well but the overall strategy is completely flawed. It's only leading to MORE terrorism. There were no daily suicide bombings in Iraq prior to the war...
Then how do you explain the mistake in office now?Originally posted by: Condor
You libs always hate truth because it doesn't meet your agenda. Doesn't put worthless leadership into power.

1) That's a bald-faced lie (Germany did attack us...google for various ships sunk by U-boats)Originally posted by: Condor
About like Germany was in WWII! They didn't attack us then sort of like Iraq didn't this time. I think this is one of dozens of reposts of the same factual information that you still insist on ignoring.Originally posted by: conjur
