Iraq Car Bomb Kills at Least 3 Civilians

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A car bomb exploded Sunday near the entrance to an American-run base north of Baghdad, killing at least three people, all of them civilians, the U.S. military said.

Two American soldiers were among five people wounded in the blast at the Taji air base shortly before 8 a.m., said Lt. Col. James Hutton, spokesman of the 1st Cavalry Division.

Last Tuesday, a bomb killed 11 Iraqis and wounded 23 others at the 1st Infantry Division's Summerall base near Beiji.

I'm sure CADkindaGUY will appreciate this since I know he likes to follow all the details of the war, whether it be a new school opening, a new water supply, or car bombs.

I know you believe you are being clever with the wording of that insult directed at CADkindaGUY. However I'm not fooled by it nor are the other members of this forum. Please refrain from such behavior in the future or we will be forced to suspend your posting privileges at Anandtech

If you wanted to take a shot at someone you could have PMed them directly. Otherwise Im not exactly sure what are trying to get at. You mean *gasp* those morons blow things up? Thank you captian obvious.

Insurgents attacking the military by killing iraqi civilians...Does not seem like a very good plan...

No kidding. What I don't understand is why the Iraqi's don't turn these bastards in en masse!

Would you turn in/fight someone/something you have spent your whole life living in fear of?

I'm not taking a shot at anyone.

Otherwise Im not exactly sure what are trying to get at.

I will spell it out for you. This forum is about politics and news. This is a news story. That's what I'm trying to get at.

You mean *gasp* those morons blow things up? Thank you captian obvious.

Are you taking a shot at me now? I thought you thought PMs were appropriate for that? Or is it a double-standard?

(This will be my last post on this irrelevant sub-issue. If you have anything constructive or substantive to say out Iraq or the news article, I'd be happy to hear it.)

I don't mind the trolling so much as the flames bother me. Flaming is explicitly against the rules.

WOW, you seem to like to use any excuse to attack cad, no matter how many people die. :frown:

CADkindaGUY knows these stories are out there - the press covers them with zeal. However I have taken to posting alot of the news from Iraq you won't hear from the "main stream" press. They have an agenda - and to those who claim they don't only have to look at the comments made about how the press should unite against this war. Yeah...4th estate

Anyway - I agree with charrison and RedDawn - it seem rather silly to keep killing your own people like they are - I also think the Iraqis need to do more to secure their own country - mainly helping to shutdown these rogue fighters. I actually think alot of that is being done and have heard reports of civilian tips leading to weapons caches and other such things.

Nuxto, in what way was this post a flame on Cad? It wasn't. I challenge you to show me how. (For the record I don't expect a response from you. I've come to recognize that many posters just allege and run).

One think I give to Cad is that he usually responds to challenges.

If you weren't trying to take a shot at CKG, then WhyTF would you mention him by name? Sure, you didn't outright call him a "moron" or "stupid", but your post implies that he is a parrot only concerned about repeating party propaganda---hmmm, a compliment? Not hardly.

You're as intellectually dishonest as they come Infogasbag, and not too bright either.

If I was taking a shot at you you would feel it 😉 But it sucks to be wrong, doesnt it? You are the master of that little arena 😉

What do you want me to say about your original post? WOW it happened. Im sure you are happy that at least someone from the US suffered. No news to most of us here that realize you are just here to hate anything good for the US and love anything bad.
