Saddam Hussein has increased money for the relatives of suicide bombers from $10,000 to $25,000, drawing sharp criticism from Washington. But Palestinians say the bombers are driven by a priceless thirst for revenge, religious zeal and dreams of glory ? not greed.

Since Iraq upped its payments last month, 12 suicide bombers have successfully struck inside Israel, including one man who killed 25 Israelis, many of them elderly, as they sat down to a meal at a hotel to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Passover. The families of three suicide bombers said they have recently received payments of $25,000.

The devout Muslims among the bombers, a majority, believe they will go to heaven as martyrs and spend eternity in the company of 72 virgins. In grainy farewell home videos, they often read passages from the Muslim holy book, the Quran, and praise God. Secular attackers know that after the deed, their families will win the adulation of friends, neighbors and strangers.

Iraq never has had great judgement. They should just try harder to get more weapon across the border where they can be used against the military instead. It would be cheaper too and israeli civilians perhaps wouldn't be targeted as much.
 
Im sure this will be used by the US another (deserved) justification for attacking iraq (sponsoring terrorism), but the interesting thing will how the US deals with the actual terrorism committed by the palestinians. The big meeting of the arab countries all agreed to denounce terrorism, but couldnt agree what "terrorism" is. However, they said terrorism could not be applied to the palestinian situation.

Sounds like a contract to me between a state, the bomber, and thier family. Lets started rounding up the suicide bombers families, charge them with conspiracy to commit murder/terrorism, and throw them in prison. Let see how the motivates the bombers knowing they condemn their families to suffering.

Yeah...people I talk to tell me that the suicide bombers are "extremists who should in no way be looked at as a representation of any significant number of the Palestinian people as a whole"

But if their families get such recognition after the fact, doesn't that sorta say that a lot of people agree with suicide bombing?

This is a forgone conclusion. It seems from all the news reports, all of Islam is in support of whatever they percieve will put and end to Isreal and bring down western values and America. If suicide bombers are their foot soldiers,and innocent people are killed and mamed, these lowlife, ignorant, scumbags don't call them terrorists, they call them freedom fighters.

What freedom do these Aholes have that they want so much? They want to kiss the cheek of warloards and beg for a handout from them? Thats what I see in Arabic countires. Take away the oil, and there would be complete breakdown of any quasi democracy in that part of the world. The people would have no where to go for thier socialist handout.

I hope we go to war with the whole damn lot of them. Take back the oil feilds we built and blow the people of that region back into the stoneage. When our technology came to those deserts and found oil, they where still herding sheep by camelback from oasis to oasis. Time to send their sorry asses back to that way of life forever. They will never respect a free government and democratic process. They haven't evolved far enough to grasp it yet, and their current leaders will never teach them. That is the way they live and they will never change.

On FOX News they said that Saudi Arabia paid $400 million last year to the families of suicide bombers.

EDIT: I think that $400 million might be for suicide operations in general, and not just for the families of suicide bombers. Can someone verify that number?

The Palestinians are engaging in a terror campaign where innocent women and children are being murdered on a daily basis. These murderers are being paid to commit these gruesome acts by outlaw states such as Iraq. You insinuated that these a-holes were "freedom fighters" the other day.

This classification is troublesome since the PLO has only sought to terrify, oppress, harrass, and murder people. You may not like what the Israelis have done in the past, but you can't really support what the Palestinians are doing right now, either.

You need to evolve. Pull your head out.
