I am from Pakistan. No hate for Iran there. I just have some personal issues with a very common attitude in that general area.
 
Why do they all have such extreme body odor? I had an Iranian roommate in college one semester and despite taking two showers a day the guy always had BO. I'm not kidding at all.

He was a nice guy though.

I think the reason that Iranians or any other group in the USA have such a high degree of education is that they were rich enough and smart enough to buy tickets out of the hellholes they came from. All the poor dumb bastard Iranians are stuck where they are.
 
I was friends with a couple of Iranians (in my study group) at Maryland so that's why I tend to have positive feelings towards Iranians. One time I met an Iranian girl who was absolutely gorgeous. I was like, "Holy Moley!"

I never noticed any unusual body odor. The ones I noticed an unusual body odor were some Indians. But I think it was caused by their diet -- perhaps they ate a lot of curry dishes. I noticed that when I eat my Dad's Curry Chicken dish my sweat would start to smell different.

as a matter of fact, my buddy I did go to Beverly Class of '95, and the reason the Persians came to Beverly Hills was because of the great school system we use to have. now it has all gone downhill. you will se alot of Persians anywhere there is a great school district/system.
 
there was no mention of anyone from the asian subcontinent. if you look at grad-professional school rates, you'll see that indians/pakistanis/etc, while we are minorities by numbers, we are academic majorities.

it's true that the highest paid people in the US are indian americans. i didn't find anything in this census about anyone from south asia.

as for persians... their women are gorgeous. however, in my experience, they are extremely high maintenace. i guess it's only appropriate.

as for those who've had "bad experiences" with persians, were these westcoast or "LA" persians by chance? LA persians are clowned all across the persian community as the "worst-of-breed." most of the persians i've dealt with in LA tend to stick with their own. they are highly arrogant. however, those who aren't from LA, are extremely friendly people. why this is... i dunno... :/

i've been here... the desi community is something else. rest assured though, once they finish with college/grad/prof school and move on a career, they stop becomming so cliquey and those petty conflicts also go away. given some time we actually become decent people... it's just that we mature very very very.... slloooooowwwwllllyyyy.
