umm all they have to do is just overthrow the government and demand democratic open and free elections. they don't need to rally around a shitstain family that has already abused the fuck out of their country.

I appreciate that you don't think despots won't act like despots, but I strongly disagree with that type of naivete, you are just asking for Iran to jump out of the frying pan, but straight into the fire.
"just overthrow the government and demand democratic open and free elections"
That sounds easy to say but much harder to do when the population is almost all unarmed as well. How likely do you think an overthrow of the gov't would work in the USA when lots of people are actually armed? Highly unlikely in the US...even less so in Iran when only the gov't has the guns.

Anywhere in the world, revolutions usually work when there's a strong unifying force. In THIS case it happens to be the Shah's son (no one else has stepped forward). I fully support his involvement based on what I've seen, read, and hear from people inside and outside Iran, and hope they get the regime change and transition to a more democratic (or at least less oppressive) gov't they wish for.

how can you have free and open elections when the worlds biggest power wages economic warfare on you if you don't vote in the people/system they want in charge?
If Iran was not pursuing nuclear weapons I doubt that anyone cares who runs Iran other than the Iranian people.

Perhaps I got my thinking on Iran wrong. But if Iran was not pursuing nuclear weapons, would their economy be under sanctions? From Europe?
they would invent another boogieman like they always do, if your worried about nuclear weapons, well there is one state that hasn't signed that non proliferation treaty and has an undisclosed number nukes in that area but you don't hear a fucking peep about that or any type of sanctions on them

Could very well be. But also the level of disinfo at this point would likely be very high as well. In preparation for potential military action by the US.
I feel that Iran has enough misiles to defeat the US misile defenses and that is even with the lowered capacities of the IRGC.

Pretty sure Israel doesnt give a fuck about the protesters but wants them to continue the revolt vs the regime with as much bloodshed as possible. This of course would villify the regime further and opens the way for "justifiable" military action against them by the US. The US of course = Israel puppeteering Trump.

So predictable in the age of disinformation:

Western media has ignored a growing trove of video evidence showing terrorist tactics deployed across Iran by protesters described by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch as “largely peaceful.” Recent videos published both by Iranian state media and anti-government forces reveal public lynchings of unarmed guards, the torching of mosques, arson attacks on municipal buildings, marketplaces and fire stations, and mobs of armed gunmen opening fire in the heart of Iranian cities.

Instead, Western media has focused almost exclusively on violence attributed to the Iranian government. In doing so, they have relied heavily on death counts compiled by Iranian diaspora groups funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the regime change arm of the US government, and whose boards of directors are filled with committed neoconservatives.

This is not to excuse the violence by the protestors, but believe it is egged on and supported by Mossad operatives who are giving them the weapons and means to do so.

One man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist. We're even seeing that here in the US as the government picks up pace on its nazification
