Why is anyone believing anything that is being said.
Trump is tired and bored with the thing that was supposed to only last two weeks. He's done. Desperately trying to change the subject of the Epstein files was a colossal failure. First on the list of Congresses things to do after disappearing on vacation through this whole debacle will be interview Bill Gates.

I don't think he's bored so much as desperate. His choices were massive escalation or surrender and he chose surrender.

It's a good move. That shifts the whole blame towards Israel. I cna see Trump ushering some hard words towards Israel if he thinks he's betrayed

I'm not sure about the nukes thing.

Iran has clearly won this dispute.

I think this agreement was nothing more than a work of theatre, like two Sims characters warbling nonsense at each other and some kind of "mission accomplished" / "achievement unlocked" message appears at the end of the warbling. It will be classed as irrelevant within a month. Donald will pretend that this whole fiasco never happened, and Israel will carry on its offensive against Iran in some way.

Maybe Israel can exploit Donald's selective memory and hit him up for another Iranian offensive in say a year?

- edit after reading the latest page of posts - okay, so that "ceasefire" lasted how many hours?

When will this jackass ever learn that the whole Planet (except for some of his billionaire friends, possibly a few family members and a dwindling number of Putinist / Maga scumbags) seriously hates him.

Wait...don't answer.

I know the answer is NEVER, and he doesn't care anyway..

Trump's narcissism and greed is at the very core of the mounting damage he's causing the nation he leads. His enablers from the oligarch class and his MAGAt base are even more culpable than he is for without them Trump is nothing more than an abject failure as a human being.

IMO the way to get Israel to adhere to a ceasefire is to channel the energy of the captain of the prison guard from 'The Shawshank Redemption': "I swear to God and sunny Jesus that if I so much as hear a mouse fart in here, all of you will visit the infirmary!", ie. if Israel does so much as fire one bullet at its enemies, a bomb will be dropped on Israel, starting with the residences of the Knesset, once per infraction / bullet.

No need for physical threats. Just withdraw all support like air defence coverage, logistics, etc. Without it the Israelis would not afford to be so adventurous.

Interesting NYT article on how Trump (at the behest of N'Yahu and Mossad director) convinced him to go to war. Of course N'Yahu, Mossad have a history of peddling disinfo and the results of what we now see bear this out.
