When I talk to people from Iran (inside Iran)

they are always wondering why their govt cares so much about the Palestinians when the Palestinians don't even give a damn about Iranians.

They complain to each other how their government cares more about outsiders than the people actually living inside the country.

During the Israel-Lebanon conflict, my cousins told me that Iranian T.V should be renamed Hezbollah T.V because all they kept talking about was Israel and Lebanon and nothing else.

From what they tell me.. nobody gives a damn and they rather watch Satellite T.V

I guess the interesting statistic here would be the number of people who can't afford sattelite TV, and therefore are victims of this brainwashing (well, at least the children most definitely are).

BTW, is Sattelite legal there? I remember reading that Sattelite TV is illegal in some countries -- Saudi Arabia comes to mind -- since it can undermine the official message.

A large Iranian newspaper made fun of the Iranian President's claim that he saw a light around him during a UN speech by drawing a cartoon of the event intended to joke at the President...

the next day the newspaper was shutdown by the govt.
