Funny, this will only prove the West to be more civilized. I really doubt we will see attacks,. threats, fires, etc... coming out of this, even from Israel.

Nothing more than Iran making Iran look stupid and ill prepared to join the rest of the world.

This is so retarded. Not only do they choose to 'attack' Europeans by attacking Jews (they probably couldn't think of a single thing to outrate Europeans with), but they don't seem to understand that the most they'll get out of western governments right now is a frown. How pathetic.

If they do go through with this, nothing will happen and will make them look like even more foolish.

Don't you see they are doing this on purpose? They want to accelerate the apocalypse...I just hope WWIran will not be the real apocalypse.

What's really funny is that they are attacking an ethnic group that the Europeans historically detest even more than them.

Iranian paper runs Holocaust contest

Isn't this like an annual event there?

But seriously, why is this even news? This is nothing particularly noteworthy from that part of the world.

Well . . . technically that's progress.

Papers detail popular and unpopular beliefs and opinions. Some of which are quite tasteful while others deserve no more light of day than the amount necessary to toss it in the garbage.

Hopefully, the response from the Jewish (and nonJewish) press is to publish even MORE points of view.

Don't you get it? The idea of posting cartoons about the Holocaust - the so-called myth as they call is - is nothing new in the Islamic world; they have been doing it for years. Why haven't we heard about any Jewish riots you say? Well, do I really have to tell you why?

Clearly, this is the same ongoing "blame the Jew" symptom. Such a childish response, but not surprsing if you look at history.

Well, I must admit. I don't get it. Last time I checked Jews don't riot very often for several reasons:
1) Uh, most large collections of Jews are in Israel or a NYC kosher deli. The latter usually complain about the gefilte broth but that's not a rioting offense.
2) Most of the published press worthy of reading are so afraid of the anti-semite slur that they wouldn't dare publish anything too overtly "Jewish."
3) Jews work so only Sabbath would be available . . . and the mother-in-law has already claimed it.
4) Should I go on . . .

Who cares if random Iranians, Muslims, or Arabs "blame the Jews?" If you think it's so childish . . . why play along by noticing so hard? Considering how this thing started . . . a publication in September 2005 . . . I would treat them like any other tantrum child; no dessert, banishment to time-out, and no attention.

People like this is why history repeats itself. Are you from 1930s Europe?

Oy Vey, that's new! Don't you dare post cartoons about the Holocaust, or else Jews all over the world will rise up and set Iranian embassies on fire...

Idiots.

Those Danes insulted our religion, so lets go insult the Jews' religion and historical facts, that'll make them respect us!

Yeah, it's our fault because every Iranian out there heard our calls for a "boycott" and listened because they respect us and our opinion so much, right?

Besides, the media in Iran is controlled by the government, I don't think they'd run an article about why America thinks their citizens should boycott the elections, do you?

Meuge is right, I wasn't calling him a nazi. But it was because of people who say "who cares if they blame the jews" and pacifists that allowed Hitler and the Nazis to gain power and walk into Poland and France and kill millions of Jews.

You would think that if they wanted to challenge "freedom of expression" then they would be trying to do something that they think is restricted. They already have all sorts of bigoted cartoons.I'm wondering if they actually think many people will get angry?

Geez, you guys are crazy!

There is no problem to ignore! Some Arabs and some Muslims have a preternatural dislike for Jews. Big friggin' deal . . . at the moment they are burning down Danish consulates and boycotting Danish products.

1930s Hitler . . . really . . .
