Iran is invading anything. And there is already negotiated responses to Turkey DEFENDING its border when the war begins from an onslaught of Kurds crosing the border to escape from Saddam.

If an opposition group indeed has crossed into Iraq from Iran, it is probably a welcome thing by the people who inhabit the North. It is in the interest of the indeginous people of Iraq to resolve governship of the country after military action has dealt with the "regime change", which is the sole reason we are going to war in the first place.

After a legitimate democratic and fair government is installed, then Iraq will recieve the things needed to rebuild, and they can barter for that with the oil reserves it has. It is a win win situation for Iraq. Do we really know who is best to rule Iraq after Saddam is gone? No, but you can be sure the people of Iraq are not remotely interested in Tommy Franks running the country.

Discussions about France,Germany,Belgium or Russia holding out for favorable relief for oil contracts or paid of debts is folly. The new goveernment in Iraq will have to deal with any outstanding unfullfilled contractural agreements the Saddam may or may not have made. If you make a deal with a dead man, don't expect to get paid. And don't expect the dead mans family to pay the debt.

You dance with the Devil , you just might get burned. Suck it France/Germany/Belgium :disgust:

Suck it USA, the world doesn't revolve around you.

I hope the world will stand up aganist the biggest threat.

Bad grammar? :D

Maybe if you had stayed in school instead of joining all those protests, you would be aware of the state of current affairs.

I'm from Belgium, suck it up :D

I guess the cheque to Turkey was not big enough -- LOL --

Like I already said in another thread, the USA is losing the momentum, they better start the tanks.

One of the reasons Turkey does not want deployment of American troops for an offensive role is the fact that Turkey is trying desperately for the last few years to become a member of the EU. For Turkey that is more important in the long term then the billions the US wants to give now. They are smarter then the East-European countries who openly declared their love for the USA.
I may be hard to believe for a lot of americans but the turkish public opinion is very supportive for the view of France/Germany/Belgium.

I already said it in another thread a couple of days ago. The whole NATO skirmish over Turkey had nothing to do with the defense of Turkey. It's a political game where the USA tried to involve the European allies. Or you can believe off course that Turkey feel so threatened that it does not want a couple of thousands of well trainded american troops on its soil

Well reports on Fox news this morning that Saddam has asked Iran for political asylum. Doesn't look like he will get it at this rate.

They invade, the US invades and then starts invading Iran. Syria resists and they too are invaded. I see how this goes. And the people say "Death to American" and carry it out.
