It is my dream to go back one day to the country that i left when i was 8 months old, due to a stoopid revolution.

ah, the stories that i hear from my grandparents and parents.....

Seriously....hope you get back soon. From what I know of the Iranian people they are good folks....unfortunate that they have a bunch of bearded maniacs running the country.

If you were born there then just get a passport, very easy to get, unless you left the country illegally...

You need permission to leave that country? I wasn't aware of any country that had such a requirement.
 
Yeah, you do, like let's say you left the country as a political refugee or something (alot of people did after the revolution), you didn't go through immigration out of the country, and you just disappeared from records as a citizen of the country, they would know that you left when you're applying for a passport.
 
it's not so easy to return if you're a persecuted minority... also, i've heard horror stories of young iranians who were raised in america being forced to serve two or three years in iran's conscription army. if they see that you have an "iranian enough" name they wont care if you're only there for a visit or if you are the citizen of another country. they will seriously make you become a soldier for the iranian military and make you go fight jews with hezbollah or something.
