I think it could really happen this time. They have been sparing for years... it might be time to stop talking and start killing.

Iran warns Israel not to attack Syria Thu Jul 13, 6:58 PM ET


TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Thursday an Israeli strike on Syria would be considered an attack on the whole Islamic world that would bring a "fierce response," state television reported.

"If the Zionist regime commits another stupid move and attacks Syria, this will be considered like attacking the whole Islamic world and this regime will receive a very fierce response," Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying in a telephone conversation with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The president made the comments after Israel struck Beirut airport and military airbases and blockaded Lebanese ports in reprisals that have killed 55 civilians in Lebanon since Hizbollah guerrillas captured two Israeli soldiers a day earlier.

"He (Ahmadinejad) also said it was a must for the Organization of the Islamic Conference to become more active regarding the new crisis created by the Zionist regime," state television reported.

Iran's Islamic government has never recognized Israel and routinely refers to the Jewish state as the "Zionist regime."

Iran has close ties with Syria, and with Hizbollah.

Seeing as Iran most likely had a (big) hand in bringing the current events about, I wouldnt blame Israel if they said "Dont worry Iran, you wont have to wait long. We're coming for you".

In fact, I wish they would. Iraq makes a wonderful staging area to top of IDF F-16's for that long flight into Iran.

Actually, this might sound crazy, but I think its a good thing that Iran has said this. Isreal can walk over Lebanon all day, but Iran is somewhat a different story, Isreal just wants to get Hezbollah off its back, nto start a regional war, so they might be content with jsut taking over Lebanon and leaving Syria alone if they think it would casue major escalation. Also, when you mess with Iran you mess with alot of oil, and there are alot of countries that like oil, I can guarentee you Russia will throw a hissy fit if Isreal starts bombing Iran, obviously Russia isn't gonna go to war, but they can exert considerable political pressure and there ain't sh|t Isreal can do about it becasue Russias millitary would put a quick end to Isreal. But like I said its not gonna go anywhere past Lebanon since Isreal knows that it can only do so much, and that will likely be enough for them.

And this crap about decimating innocent populations for the actions of a few---which is the idea of collective guilt which is outlawed under international law. It is well past time

Iran not cutting off the oil is probably one of the only things keeping us from bombing their nuclear facilities. Also, I have a feeling that if they tried to cut off the sea traffic in the persian gulf I think the US Navy would have something to say about it.

Isreal's gangsters better chill out and settle for just occupying Lebanon for awhile again. Or else the innocent civilians on the small area of land called Isreal could get rained down upon by thousands of missiles. A massive missile barrage has been being planned by Isreal's many enemies for years. The hatreds go deep in that region. Isreal's people have to regain control of their Government and turn things around soon. Or that Country could find itself smashed by a war they were helpless in stopping sooner.

The israeli`s don`t send there people into other countries loaded with explosives to blow up busses or restaurants full of innocent civilians. As far as killing innocent victums there has never been a war where innocent victims have not been killed. trust me...thats why an unknown source allowed Israel to have nuclear missles just incase that were to happen. I would venture a guess that Israel would use the nuclear option fif as you seem to think a massive amount of missles were to rain down on there population!
