Wanting us to respond to being attacked has nothing to do with trickle down economics.
And pushing back when pushed damn well better not be a conservative only idea, lest the "Left" be ripe for slaughter by whoever comes calling.
Is that the lesson learned from Iraq?
When I saw my cousin in the military hospital, still in a weeks long coma from the wounds suffered from the IED, it was hard to call him the lucky one even though his companions returned home underneath draped flags.
What was the point of it? What noble calling was there to regale to his daughter who just saw her Daddy sent away and returned broken, possibly trapped in a never ending sleep?
There was none. None of us could say it openly, but all knew the truth. It was a goddamn waste. This story was told thousands of times over by other families.
You push back on backs of men, women and families who suffer the consequences of other's foolishness and pride.
For what now? A deal broken because it was made by rival? A tub of oil? A point of pride?
None of these are my problems or dire threats, and I wouldn't ask another countryman to be sacrificed for something so worthless.
