Let me see if I can get my arms around all this crapola, Israeli is running around in various mid-east countries, bombing people and and trespassing into other countries to assassinate people, at least under GWB and maybe still under Obama, the USA is sponsoring various terrorist groups in attacks against Iran, while we are seriously considering bombing Iran in a preemptive manner.

Tell me again why we are the good guys and Iran are the bad guys. Sounds more like everyone is the bad guys and there is not a good guy to be found.

Now in terms of the Iranian Mullah's and their oppression of the Iranian people, I am hoping the Mullah's lose, but its still an internal Iranian matter, where we hope the Iranian people will prevail. And sadly, if we throw too much weight around, it can only cause the Iranian people to rally around the Mullah's.

But we could say the same of Israel and its nut case government, and in all fronts, we can hope people, all over the world, with better sense will find common ground raher than wallow in perpetual and non productive hatreds.

Sorry, I am not a big fan of American imperialism, Israeli imperialism, British Imperialism, Iranian Imperialism, or any imperialism. But as an American taxpayer, I can only say, how stupid can we be, because quagmires do not get cheaper by the dozen.

Are we winning yet? Are we even making any progress? Or are we just bankrupting our own silly selves as we kick the same ole unsolved problems further down the road?

A lot to be said for that. An awful lot. Dumb it down to sports, though, is the other team really evil and you're not? Of course not, but that doesn't matter, you still want to win and still be on the winning team.

It seems to me that US foreign policy has unequivocally been a failure, and a costly one, in the last decade. I'm not sure what the proper approach is but it can't have been this.
