Nobody can really say. I believe that the Iranian leadership are not as suicidal as they let on. They do it for political reasons. Just as NK is not as crazy as it lets on. Both nations know that if they attack somebody fully they will be flattened. But they want to have people believe that maybe, just maybe, they are actually crazy enough to do it. If Iran got a nuke and it was detonated in Israel and possible to track back to Iran there would be a fireworks show and Iran knows this. And, despite the leadership saying whatever, in the end they enjoy being in power and don't want to wake up to a mushroom cloud anymore than the rest of us do.you really think a nuclear middle east will survive without confrontation in 2, 3, 4 or 5 decades?
Iran does? Your crazy container just keeps getting bigger. When we think it's overflowing you pour all that crazy into a bigger tank so that you can hold even more. They already have plenty of nukes and ICBM's capable of hitting the U.S.
I'd make you a bet, give you 4:1 odds that they won'tAny bets that Israel is going to go bomb some Iranian nuke factories this week?

Iran attacking Israel would be a huge mistake on their part
Iran has been attacking Israel for years and years now, first through Hizballah (which is an Iranian extension in every way) and then through Hamas and Islam Jihad.
I was obviously talking about a direct confrontation, which this latest saber-rattling is clearly inferring. A punch in the face isn't very sneaky.![]()
Israel urges "crippling" sanctions now against Iran
JERUSALEM, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for immediate and crippling sanctions against Iran on Tuesday, on the day it began making higher-grade nuclear fuel.
"Iran is rushing forward to produce nuclear weapons...I believe that what is required right now is tough action by the international community," Netanyahu told European diplomats. "This means crippling sanctions and these sanctions must be applied right now." The launch of the Omid (Hope) satellite had been expected and was clearly timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Iranian revolution, says the BBC's Jon Leyne in Tehran.
Mr Ahmadinejad said the satellite was launched to spread "monotheism, peace and justice" in the world.
You wish
They already have plenty of nukes and ICBM's capable of hitting the U.S.
They put a satellite in orbit just recently, what if they use a missile to destroy that satellite now ?
shooting it down fits and would be a warning to the west that they could destroy our satellites used for observing them.
Maybe the satellite can shoot down a missle? That is a very interesting theory and perhaps the most likely scenario yet. Then again, what if the satellite itself has an as yet unknown capability? Hmmm...
I fucking hate waiting. LOL!

Not sure what he meant by that. The US cannot even shoot down its own satellites without vast amounts of preparation and considering Iran's space tech is about 45 years behind the US (I just read about them sending worms up on their rocket), I think they won't be shooting down any satellites any time soon.
If they are, the test will not go as hoped. You can bet on it. And they are much more than 10 years behind. 10 years ago the US had launched many shuttles, had satellites in orbit, etc. what has Iran done? Their space program is not even as far along as Canada's.They are not 45 years behind the USA. They are about 10 years at most behind us. They didn't have to start from scratch, they got help from North Korea and Russia.
Maybe they are going to test launch a ICBM. In 2008 a lot of scientist said that they had the equipment to begin manufacturing and the only part of the design they had not accomplished at that time was implementing multi-stage, which they just did last year.

Well, then that would put them 51 years behind the USA.
