IR Receiver Tools and software?

Not sure where to post this, but this seems to be the closest fit.
I just bought an Antec Multimedia Station Basic kit which came with a tiny little remote.
I would prefer to use the remote that came with my TV since it looks like I could easily lose this thing. The included software just lets me pick from one of the antec remotes so I'm wondering if there is some kind of utility or something that will let me learn my TV's controls.
