Who are you to judge? Do you have any other facts to disprove Citrix's find?

Besides your being dumb for posting your insults; you should know better being a Diamond Member.

Don't attack Anandtech members for stuff they might find interesting; you want to tell everyone in the Distruted threads they're being "Dumb" and "naive" for running SETI?

Being a team member, if I recall your running RC5, I can't believe your accusations. I'm ashamed. :| Give him a break will you?

art bell is a quack, people should check their sources before saying "its the biggest discovery of the history of mankind"

Art may be a quack, but at least he is entertaining, civil and open-minded....unlike you.

I did know what my source was. Not everything Art Bell talks about is off the deep end. I will admit some of it is but last ngiht I listen to his show and was very intrigued.

First off, Art Bell did not make this discovery. He had on the guy who did, Richard C. Hoagland . Art was Extremely cautious on the validity of what this guy is claiming and brought up some pretty good aruguements on how these photos could have been faked.

Hoagland is adimant that the photos he received came from a source inside NASA are real. He also stresses that the photos he received are not the same photos that NASA post for public viewing. the Public ones are "dirtied up" to hide details. I myself have noticed this. go to any NASA website with pictues of Mars and the photos are pretty blury. I have always wondered why that was because logic tells you that with the quality of the camera equipment NASA sends up surely can produce better photos than what they post. I have seen pictures of the Moon taken in the 60's with better quality and detail compared to what the Mars probes sent up 5 years ago have sent back.

I am not saying there is life on Mars. What I am saying and starting to believe is that evidence is starting to surface that proves there was life on Mars a very long time ago.

Oh and Ameesh, i dont appreciate being called names.

And what Citrix said and I quote:

"If what this guy says is true and the images are not fakes, I would say this is the biggest discovery of the history of mankind." (See the "IF" part in the beginning?)

He was simply expressing his opinion IF these images in fact are authentic.

Don't take things to heart just because someone expresses their opinion, and when someone says comments like "your dumb" etc.... it really doesn't help matters any. If you don't like what they have to say then don't post on the thread. Easy enough? ;)

to me #2 looks more like an outcropping of geometric rocks.. like quartz or something... or some kinda rock that has a crystaline structure... guess thats as plausible as the "city Block" idea :D

art bell.. isnt he that guy who has that late night talk show and always has Willie Nelson on? maybe hes been borrowing from Willie's stash....

As much as I'm interested in Mars and finding out what it's been through, I can't really lend any credibility to those pics - if there was any evidence of a civilization being there, you could bet that many more people would make light of it. After seeing the rest of that site (the UFO pics, lol!), I can't really trust anything from it. Still, any pics of Mars' surface is cool :)

those pics look like city blocks cause they're so freakin pixelated from zooming in so close.

each pixel is about 100 miles...

the dude who discovered this was on Art Bell again last night... people were giving him the brush off because they say he "doctored" the pictures. He pretty much shut them up when he posted a B&W image taken in 1989 from the Russian Mars orbiter. The Russian image is of a different part of Mars but shows the same interesting details/patterens that the offically released NASA photos didnt.

link to the two photos for comparison.

Another interesting point is. NASA absoutley refuses to release the night time IR pictures of MARS. Why? are they trying to hide something? If so what? something of National security? i doupt it. The American people paid for the the whole Mars program, why is NASA refusing to let us see whats out there?
