I think I scored 285 a few times but then all these government agents started doing tests on me and took me to some base in Nevada, so I ran away.

They have subject IQ tests? How is that different from an aptitude test like the SATs?

The online IQ tests all seem to be pattern recognition tests.

my last test came out at 159

No idea, but I did score a 93rd percentile on the ASVAB.

It's not really an IQ test though, it's an aptitude test.

IQ tests don't (or shouldn't) test knowledge. The questions are not "know it or you don't" like MCAT or whatever, which is why I'm surprised there are subject IQ tests.

Did Stanford test years ago before all my partying and drunken weekends while in the navy. It was a scale from idiot-150. 70-89 was your ex girlfriend, 90-100 was normal, 101-115 was normal beta student. 116-130 was exceptional and 131 to 139 was very exceptional. 140-150 was rocket scientist. They warned that closer to 150 you got there was possibility of going crazy/mad.

Poppycock. I scored a 165 and I'm like the sanest person here.

I can't recall which of the IQ tests were administered to us in high school, but I do recall one of the sections - the questions were so easy that it basically amounted to remembering a string of answers, then filling in a bunch of bubbles - you'd go back and forth as fast as you could, otherwise there was no conceivable way to finish that section. Before that section, (not knowing this was going to happen), I asked, "are we able to clean up our bubbles - fill them in better between sections to make sure the machine picks them up?" "Yes." So, I put a little line in each bubble as I did that section, and filled them in later. My classmates were pretty upset with me, and thought it was unfair, because they spent too much time neatly filling in bubbles.

My score was rather good.

6 of the 10 sections are aptitude tests. 4 of the 10 sections are identical to an IQ test. Math, reading comprehension/interpretation, spacial reasoning and logic are the four components that compile the ASVAB score. These portions do not test prior knowledge whatsoever.

The other 6 portions are aptitude tests for MOS/rating/job placement and are not indicated on the ASVAB "percentile." they certainly do consist of prior knowledge questions. I somehow aced the mechanical portion without ever disassembling an engine or changing my own oil. I did get a 53 out of 70% in electronics and received electronic technician as my rating.

I took an IQ test in a psychology class back in high school (mid-80s) and got 140. A few years back I got the same score on an online test.

nothing you find online is going to not be anything near even remotely accurate, much less, worth your trouble...

if you have a high iq you might understand this.
