How does the device do the discovery for what's and whom out there (DHCP etc)
or even do the Binary ANDing

I knew about local link; how on Ethernet segment and IPV6 ping command; when it does the multicast on ffe8 how it will get rightful node.
I need to re read my 642-901 or D/L the pdf file off CCIE R & S 4th Edition.
