IPOD where to get a cheap one

I'm driving across the country and an ipod to keep me entertained.

My friend gave me his ipod to car stereo cradle.

I'm looking for something cheap.

I'm getting weary of searching through the thousands of ipod accessories, etc.. on eBay.

What price range am I looking at. It can be any generation, preferably 8GB or bigger.

iPod Video 30GB can be had for around $100. Probably the best value right now $/GB wise.

Apple's refurb store has some 8 and 16gb nanos for somewhat reasonable prices, as well as a 120gb classic

You do know that iPods are not the only MP3 players on the market. There are plenty of otehr brands that offer several gigs of storage and similar features to the iPod at a much lower cost.

I believe he mentioned he has an iPod dock he wants to use, granted it's probably cheaper to get a non-apple mp3 player plus a cassette adapter or audio cable
