ipod touch microphone...

I have skullcandy ink'd earbuds with the built in microphone ( just like the iphone headphones built in microphone), but it doesn't seem to work. Is there anything I can do to make it work, or to test to see if the microphone is actually working at all? Or is it that if it doesnt plug and play thats gg?

ok i just tested the earbud microphones on my pc and it looks like they're not working... :S:S:S:S:S:S
