Ipod Touch and me - Is it worth it?

I have a free 16GB Ipod Touch at home right now, still brand new and sealed. My initial thought was to sell it, but the sexiness of the box is tempting me.

I already have a 1st gen 4GB Nano that has seen better days. It still has battery life and all my music just barely fits on it. I also have a Blackberry 8800 for email and limited PDA functionality.

Is it worth it to open, or should I sell it?

How would you use it?

I have an iPhone and a 2nd-gen iPod Shuffle. The iPhone goes with me everywhere, since it's my phone, and also hooks up to my car stereo and home stereo for music playback. I use the iPod Shuffle for working out because it has a clip. I've found the iPhone too big to fit on exercise equipment or comfortable in an arm strap, whereas a nano or shuffle is right at home while working out.

If it was me, even though I have a 30GB 5G, I would keep the Touch due to its ability to play video (much larger screen) and can become a PDA for me, one that actually syncs to OS X as opposed to my old Dell Axim (Missing Sync never worked right for me)

For me 16GB is getting close, but I still want the phone functionality. So I'm waiting on the iPhone 16/32 GB before I buy one.

The screen res is nice on the iPod Touch, but I just don't have enough access to WiFi hotspots to make the device worthwhile.

I really did not see the big deal with it at first... sure it looked kind of cool. But now that we have it... What a great ipod.
It is just awesome!

I would buy an iPhone in a heartbeat, even with 2G, if it was available on Verizon.
I'd be very tempted. My only gripe is I don't want the data plan. I just want a phone with music I can sync with itunes (because I actually like to use it, not for DRM music) and google calendar syncing support when I dock.

It would be worth it if you could use the wifi enough. I like surfing the net so it would be useful just as a portable web browser if i'm sitting in the coffee shop or whatever.

I'm definitely buying one. My biggest hold up was only 16GB for all my music and videos...but they just released a 32GB version and I'm pretty much just counting the days.

I have a 4th Gen 20GB iPod, a 1st Gen 2GB Nano, an iPhone and an ATT Tilt, and I'd still open the Touch. I wouldn't buy one, but if it were free......
