I cracked the screen while working out. The iPod is still covered under warranty but I dont know if the warranty covers cracked screens.

Anybody know?

Thanks

Its not covered unless you bought a squaretrade accidental damage plan. you should be able to replace the screen yourself (voiding the warranty in the process). You can try and take it to the apple store with your story (general usage, screen cracked, etc) and see if they can do anything for you

My buddy cracked the screen on his iPhone. $200 bucks to replace it.

Similar story. $200 repair. You can do it yourself for less than half that though - if you are at all good with little tools.

If you use AMEX to buy it, your covered under there accidental damage protectiopn plan for the first 90-days. If you didn't, then you can have apple repair the screen for about $225. Don't let a 3rd party vendor repair it, will void your warranty.

If you bought it from Best Buy and got the BB service plan for 14.99 per month it would be covered.
