iPod synchronization issue...

I have a client who is having a problem with his ipod. He is in another state and I am unable to really take a look at it. He is able to synchronize his contacts list, but not the calendar list for Outlook 2003. It gives him an error that it was unable to sunchronize the calendar list. Since 1) I have never used and ipod and 2) hate mac products, I was hoping someone here would be able to point me in the right direction to solving this issue. My client already knows this is out of my realm of knowledhe and I told him I would consult with some other techs to see if they had any ideas on this.

I know it is a shot in the dark, but, if any of you have any suggestions, let me know. Google search turned up nothing, but then again, difficult topic to search for.
