ipod shuffle

Like 0roo0roo said, it's fine for joggers and people doing things with their hands and just wanting background music while they do them. For me though I need a display as I use it while walking or riding somewhere and can look at the display and find the song or spoken word I want. It's a nice and small unit and I am sure they will sell many of them but for people like me, Give me an Mini or Ipod.

I am looking for something like the ipod shuffle. small, about a gig of space, and around 100 bucks. I really want to be able to pick my tracks tho. what do you guys recommend?

iPod Shuffles are popping up all over my college campus and everyone seems to be loving them.

I don't care about the lack of LCD screen, you can always make your playlist before you import the songs to the shuffle and it does have forward/skip and back/rewind buttons. Play has two modes: shuffle and in-original-playlist-order.

But here's what I don't get.... WHY would you want a 512 MB or 1 GB player? If you use some coupons and/or rebates you can get a perfectly nice 256 MB player which will hold 4.5 hours of 128kbps audio and it's only going to cost you $19 - $29. THE CHEAPEST IPOD SHUFFLE COSTS 3x AS MUCH!!!

If you want a bunch of storage, well then a big iPod or a Rio or iRiver makes sense. But if you only want "hours" of music rather than "days" of music, then get a super cheap little player for pocket change.

iPod Shuffle is neat, but it costs 3x more than what it should. Period.

Um, U2 has sucked since post Actung Baby. I would never by a U2 endorsed product for a product that with a little bit more money you could get double the capacity. And the stupid etched signatures? What a joke! Its a stupid product from a stupid company (stupid because the ipod flash is stupid). And U2 is so arrogant that I think if I saw Bono in the street I would bitch slap him.
