IPOD shipped from china?

Yea... so i ordered an IPOD for my wife's birthday from apple online (got it engraved) and i just checked the shipping.. it's shipped from SHENZHEN in China.

They all do. THat is where apple's manufacturing site is. You'll get it in 3 days, just watch. Last time I ordered an Ipod I called five minutes after placing my order because I wanted to change the inscription on it. To my dismay and amazement, it had already been made! I couldn't believe how fast their manufacturing and shipping was. My order flew from Shenzhen China to someplace in Canada to someplace in the West U.S. to Maryl;and and ultimately arrived at my house in 2.6 days, with standard shipping.

Everything's made in China these days; might as well ship directly from there. Apple has been shipping from Shanghai for a while now.

btw, buying an ipod in china is just as expensive!! u're not saving a dime.

Drop ship is actually cheaper for them than shipping to US then do another fullfillment again. Most online retailers are on that model. They sell the product, then tell the manufacturer to ship it to the consumer, using the retailer's shipping label.
