ipod service error

I jsut got my nano and it seems like tons of people are experiencing this, which is why i posted it here...


anyone have any ideas or relevant info?


Itried all of the links on the apple page with no success:(

so the Nano itself is giving problems, or the connection to computer? There's a way to reset the Nano that should solve this problem.

It is working fine (appearantly) and it the computer will recognize it (mounts as a drive)

The ipod service seems to be borked or something. That said, my 40GB was working fine:confused:

Basically all I've been able to find on this is that I might have to install itunes v. 4.9 :confused:

basically i get the error when I attempt to run the ipod software updater.

When I run itunes it says it cannot find the necesarry software for my ipod device

Uninstall iTunes & iPod software. Delete folders from Program Files. Reinstall from scratch.

Throw in the gratuitous reboot before reinstallation.

I don't know what the fvk happened...I did the same thing as before...except that I rebooted twice:confused:
