I have an iPod touch that i have accidentally deleted some videos off of that are not on any machine. Does anyone know of any recovery software that works with the ipod touch? For anyone that doesn't know, disk access is not allowed on the touch.

I hope you guys can help

It was a package deal from a training video company. It's not even my ipod. I think I may have to contact the company and explain how stupid it is to distribute content on a device that has no real/legal way to import content off of it that was placed there on another machine.

I was just hoping for a better solution than dealing with a bunch of technologically impaired idiots. (and so i don't sound like a hypocrite, the vids were deleted by a forced system restore, not just accidentally deleted)

I tried that. I couldn't get it to work. Also, that software has multiple names and is on hundreds or maybe thousands of sites. I think it is probably some sort of malicious software because of the weird requirements to use it. (UAC must be off, and some other weird thing was required, I cant remember)

Trust me, I've googled for a couple hours looking for software.

You could try PCInspector. I've used that with standard HDs with good success. Alternatively, GetDataBack is a well known file recovery program for standard HDs. You can use it free to see if the files are recoverable, then pay them money to retrieve the files.

Ipod touch doesn't allow disk access. Meaning it doesn't show up as a drive in windows. If there was a way to access the device as a drive, it would be easy to recover. The software will probably have to be written to access the touch or used in combination with something to allow disk access.
