So i'm giving SUSE 10 a shot and am liking it thus far. I have a question though regarding playing music off of my ipod on my computer. On windows I always use Winamp with the ml ipod plugin to allow me to simply plug my ipod in and search the music through winamp to play what I want. I was wondering if this is possible using Amarok? I do not want to find a program to manage music on my ipod, simply play the music on it.

I noticed when i plug my Ipod in a folder comes up that allows me to access my music (which I thought was sweet, took me by surprise) however I can't simply play those mp3 files in Amarok for whatever reason, they just don't play, even though mp3s on my computer will play. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

I should mention, if I copy the music off the ipod onto the computer they'll play fine in Amarok. wtf?

That is just plain , weird have you tried playing it in another player ? From what I recall I used gtkpod to do this and requires the mount point /mnt/ipod if i'm not incorrect

Ok I figured it out, in Amarok I have to choose the media device tab and mount the ipod as you said, cool.

Might I add that I am really liking Amarok...a lot.
