iPod on iPhone no longer showing podcasts

So I, like everyone else updated my iPhone 3GS to the latest and greatest from apple last night and didn't really play with it for very long. This morning on my way to work I decided to load up a podcast and found that they are no longer listed in my iPod. If I perform a spotlight search I find they are still there and they are taking up 20gbs of the harddrive still. Anyone else have this experience? Any idea how to fix it? I am assuming I will have to reset to default and put everything back on. My phone is not jailbroken and m girlfriend is having the same issue with hers.

I noticed this with my mew iPad. I thought it was because of syncing. Ie, I had downloaded a pod cost on my device, and then the sync removed it.

Yeah, mine were all there, just hiding. Apparently itunes needed to update them in some way to work with the new OS. I just went in and sync'd the podcasts on both my phone and my girlfriend's and it seems to have fixed the issue.

LOL @my iPad typing. I never did try to search for them when they disappeared, I'll try that next time.
