Ipod Nano

My 1st gen Ipod nano finally crapped out. I really don't have the extra $150+ for a new one. I was thinking about purchasing a refurbished model for $100, but I can't find anyone who has bought a refurb from apple. Any advice or experiences would be helpful.

One of my friends bought a refurb iPod a couple of months ago, he liked saving $50 on it and hasn't had any problems yet.

my gf has had her refurb mini for about 2 years now. She uses it everyday too.

refurbs from apple are high quality..just new parts. its the same as buying it new except it does not come in the fancy packaging, just comes in a brown box. i bought a video ipod and a macbook refurb and use it everyday with no problems.
