Am looking for a way to listen to my iPod in my car (without my headphones). I've searched on several websites but I have no idea what I need.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

transmits audio to a FM frequency you choose. i think it comes with (or you can request one for free) an ipod nano adapter.

bought one for my friend and it works very well even in busy airwaves of NYC.

I bought an iPod fm tuner for my car, and returned it hours later.

Unless you like hearing the music from your iPod patchier than listening to a radio station (anything and everything will interfere with the weak signal those things output) then I suggest looking elsewhere. I didn't expect it to be amazing quality when I picked mine up, but I was at least expecting radio quality, which it was far from.

edit: although I have yet to find an alternative that is as easily set up to work with your car as those. I wish my player had the RCA inputs (red and white, w/e they are called) those seem like a happy medium between quality and effort.

The best quality option is to get a CD player with a front input jack (just like a headphone cable). I haven't found any stereos with iPod controls via an iPod link cable that provide as good usability as simply using the iPod itself. Crutchfield sells them starting at about $100 or so.

Get a cig lighter mounted power hookup, and a casset tape adapter. Easy setup, easy mounting.

Yeah. In order of quality:

1. Direct input (headphone cable or iPod jack)
2. Tape cassette adapter
3. FM transmitter
