Ipod Nano Sound Quality

I just bought a Ipod NANO, however, i find the sound quality isn't as good as I expected.

I wonder if any of you try to compare the sound quality between different IPOD, nano, shuffle , video, etc

Will I get a 3rd party headphone improve the sound quality????

There's your problem buddy, listen to it with REAL headphones. Shure E2C or Sennheiser HD***, all good stuff.

Well...
I hook up my nano into my PC speakers. Immediately, I noticed that the sound qaulity is way lower than my computer. Don't even talk about it closes to CD qaulity........

Try turning down the volume on the nano, and the volume up on the speakers... See if that helps

When I first got my Nano a couple of weeks ago, I thought the included ear buds were crap. After I got the pieces and parts to hook it into my fairly high-end Pioneer head-unit in my car (which is what I bought it for), the sound is fantastic. Pumping out some decent factory 6"x9"'s, a couple of factory tweeters, and an Alpine 12" 750W sub w/matching amp, I get good highs, great lows, I can't complain one bit.

Go here for headphone help.

"Welcome to Head-Fi, sorry about your wallet."

They did a comparison of sound quality of iPods. I think the iPod Shuffle won.

Portable sound quality is overrated. When you listen to a portable, you are most likely not sitting down calmly enjoying the music at a quiet environment.

I don't suppose you're using line-out, kldang?

The shuffle won on audio quality huh?
Well, it certainly sounds like they know what they're talking about.

We need to get YoYo is this thread, STAT!

One thing I know Jello will agree on is that head-fi is a great place to go for these questions. 😎
