Ipod Nano questions

So I scored a 4GB black Nano for $15, with the supposedly only problem being a cracked screen. I might try to replace the screen and battery this summer, but for now I'm going to try using it blind. So I'm wondering this:

1. Can I clear everything on it? On my Zune I can clear all the data, including the firmware, by pressing a button combination. I'd like to do this so I can get rid of all of the previous owner's songs and any settings he had. So can I do this without use of a screen?

2. Is there a menu guide somewhere online? So I have an idea of what the screen would be showing?

3. Where can I pick up a cheap usb cable? Amazon has a few $4 ones...

Any help is appreciated...

I would connect the ipod to your computer and restore defaults from there. Once you do that you'll have an original menu system. I am pretty sure that there is a manual of the screen somewhere online or someone could do something to show you on here. But I know what you're going through and you'll be able to use it just fine. Just have to guess what song is playing. Whoa its a shuffle. You'll be fine.

So I have the Nano in my hand, anyone have a menu guide? Or would be willing to tell me what they are?
