Preparing for a trip to Vegas in July and since it will be a long flight, I want to get my gadgets in order to make sure I have stuff to do while on board. Has anyone ever used one of those glasses-things that plugs into an ipod and projects a 40" virtual screen or whatever in front of you to watch movies, etc ?

Are any of these any good to actually buy and use?

I'm intrigued

They've been around for years, there's a good reason they haven't become mainstream.

Go get a portable DVD player with a video input, you'll spend far less & have a more useful toy.

It'll make you vomit sooner. I hear those cause intense headaches if you use them for longer than a hour or two. You're better off just watching the movie off your ipod, it's really not that bad. The best solution is to just sleep your way through the trip
