I would, and actually just did yesterday, choose the Carbon. The main factors were its diminutive size, battery life, drag n drop capability (you don't need software to transfer music), and the fact that it does not use proprietary connection cables (you can use any standard mini USB cable).

You can do all the same with the muvo2, and it uses standard cables.

Yes, but the muvo's tiny screen is a big negative in my book.

Use playlist feature you don't need a big screen to browse frequently.

I own the Rio Karma, which is the companies 20Gb player. it may not be as pretty as the ipod, but it is a far superior player!
plus it plays about a million different audio files! i believe it can even play Ogg Vorbis (seriously tho, does anyone use this storage hungry supreme audio quality?).
Get an ipod if you want to be a sheep who follows the crowd.

EvilRas it just sounds like you think people should AVOID the ipod because it's an ipod. Which is the same as people who think you SHOULD buy one cuz it's an ipod.
If you say people should buy x player cuz it's better, i can totally respect that.
I'm just tired of people (not you, just people in general) saying "people buy ipod to be trendy" .. as if the ipod is a pile of junk with no redeeming features. I've never had one but plenty of tech & non-tech people are satisfied with them so they can't be that bad.
