I've had mine since they first came out as well. I've dropped it on hard linoleum several times. Still works like a champ. No problems with charging either.

Sounds like homie has bad luck. :Q

I purchased one for my wife for Mothers day.

It took two charges and then quit keeping a charge totally. I told her to take it back and exchange it. She hated it so much she just took it back and got something different.

Just bought a shuffle today... hope it works, going to play with it tonight.

I see your hard earned money made by pimping yourself out is going to good use.

We know what you're going to be playing with tomorrow night!

have you gotten it replaced with a newer model? or are they simply repairing the one you have? the very first ones produced had some badly designed internals (namely the headphone jack connection)

Before you hammer it, I'll give ya $10 for it 🙂

I have the mini. Works fine. You suck at listening to music. j/k.

It's a shame that settlement doesn't cover the mini though. I just know it'll die at some point.

Boss, just strap some Amonium Nitrate and fertilizer to the ipod. Take a video cam and record to going kaboom. Then subit the video to Apple. 😉 But I get first dibs to see it. 😀

no, bill machrome of pcmag found that the shuffle has some of the best audio quality you can get in portable audio actually

batteries are finicky. they like to be cycled. i know they tell you that modern batteries don't need cycling, but all of my experience with nimh and li-ion batteries says that they work longer and better if they are fully charged and discharged on a regular basis.

Boss, update after you have tried my suggestion. I'm really interested in seeing if that's the cause of most people complaints here about battery life.

will try it tonight, and let you know tomorrow...

LIES! 😛

I love my MuVo TX FM 512mb player. All of the jogging chicks think it's teh hotness. Especially strapped to my sweaty ripped bicep. 😎

this is the ipod mini eh? not the shuffle. . . what sort of treatment are you putting it through? Buddy of mine has had a mini for a while now, and he hasnt, to my knowledge, had any issues.
