iPod mini question

I'm trying to sell my gf's old MINI 4GB on ebay. but she wants to keep the AC Adapter and firewire cable, which is compatible with the new NANO.

Should I warn people not to flash the firmware on the listing page, unless they have the AC Adapter? I specifically remember by flashing firmware, you need to reboot the ipod and plug the MINI into the AC Adapter. and it won't work on USB cable? can anyone confirm?

There was a thread about this.

If you don't include ANYTHING, make it DAMN clear what you're including and not including. Crystal clear.

That said, it's your choice what to include or not to include. Just make sure you say "iPod MINI ONLY. DOES NOT INCLUDE AC ADAPTER OR FIREWIRE CABLE!" and that should be sufficient.

You're their seller, not their tech support.

Agreed, as long as you are 100% honest of what is included and what isn't 🙂

And I've reflashed iPods countless times, both my iPod and my friends' iPods, and never had to plug them into AC adapters, I don't know why people are always mentioning that.

well i remember that after flashing the gf's ipod mini firmware, the display had an icon of the wall outlet. plugging it back into the USB didnt work. but plugging into my gf's inMotion worked.

i will be honest about my not including the AC adapter, but unsure if i should warn people in advance not to flash firmware. i think it's at the latest firmware anyway

Ah, I only use FireWire, that might be why.
