IPOD mini or new tattoo?

Im deciding between getting a silver IPOD mini or a new tattoo...? I have 4 tattoos already, but Im working on completing a half sleeve on my upper right arm, shoulder and chest. Im about half way there. The tattoo is something that I want to get more of anyways, but I could really use that IPOD, at the gym, or on the Greyhound bus to visit my girlfriend in New York or even when Im at campus at my school. Tattoo=$220. IPOD mini=$250.

anything but the tatoo.

or save your money for later and get the whole arm thing done at once so it matches perfectly....unless you have one hell of an artist with the prong.

Tattoo is there forever, whereas the iPod is there for a few years.

Tattoo = more longterm benefit

The popularity of tattoos, especially among geeks, dweebs and dorks, has made not having a tattoo cool.
Get an Ipod.
 
you're going to get biased responses towards the ipod, but i expect that you already knew that.

on the other hand, i would tend to lean towards the tattoo as i will probably get another one this summer to compliment the one on my left shoulderblade.

Screw both and buy my 60 gig zen extra. 😀 What tattoo you gettin for 250? It should be huge. Mine only cost 125 and 150 respectivly.
 
Well, the iPod mini wont last forever, I mean hell we all know the battery will only be good for a few years. Your tattoo will last forever.

I don't like the idea of a Tattoo anyways though, so get the iPod.
 
you are hoplessly lame for asking anandtech if you should get a tattoo or not

just like that guy awhile ago who had anandtech vote on what tattoo he "should" get (and they all suck too)

I say, get neither. As I have both an ipod and several tattoos and do not want to be asociated with you whatsoever.


(cue more neffing about the one tattoo each member got, how it is so cool or how brand x player is better then ipod etc etc)

no mini iPod. The battery doesn't take very many charges before it craps out and it can't be replaced, leaving you with a neat looking music player thats gotta be plugged to work.

Not that I'm recommending the tattoo either . . .

Ummm... the iPod mini's battery can be replaced.
