my ipod locked up and i can't turn it off. i tried holding the menu button to power it off, no go. i tried switching the hold on and off, no go. i tried plugging it into the computer to kick start it, no go. and now it's drainigng my battery :|

can someone plz help me??? it's a mini
 
Solution: Sell it on eBay and buy a Zen/other competing product.
Only reason I still have my iPod is because it was a gift from a roommate. 😛
 
Good luck getting one of the 4k infected Zen Neeons (wtf?) that have likely all been sent back by now. Honestly if I was in the market for an MP3 player I'd buy anything other than an iPod so long as it was as user friendly as some of the Rio/Creative products. Dealing with iTunes was a pain, and while 3rd party software eases that somewhat, it's still not as good as just drag-and-drop file swapping.

pressing firmly on the forward button and the backward button for about 30 seconds should restart it.
