ipod frozen and i cant get it to respond!!!

i just got back from the comp lab and i put some files onto that i need to get it off now to hand in tomorrow (burn onto cds) anyone know ANYTHING at all to reset it or something...I was listening to it on the walk back and the friggin thing stopped and its frozen and i tried plugging it into the comp and it wont come back to life..please hekp!!!
 
sigh..finally got it responding..i did the reset with the select + menu and it worked..it diddnt work when i tried it when it froze on the walk back...

horay!
 
the old "Hit the damn thing against the table" trick. THe Hard drive may have gotten stuck, that happend to my brother's zen

i had to help a girl get her's unfrozen one time.... i didnt even know the reset command (never owned one or cared enough about them to research)

she said she had tried the reset before... i held it for like 10 seconds and it reset just like it's supposed to with the command...... just finiky(sp) sometimes i guess
 
hold play and menu for about 10 seconds to force restart. if that doesnt work, let the battery run down all the way, and then charge it up.
ive had to do both a couple times over the years ive had mine, no big deal.
